You know this is a good question with a strange paradox in the JW religion theology, and I think it is based on obvious logic from the Bible that JWs derive HALF of their logic from.

The JW logic is there are two kingdoms, God's Kingdom and a Kingdom some refer to as the Messianic Kingdom, the Kingdom based on Christ. BUT Jehovah's witnesses themselves DO NOT COMPLETE the logic.

    And therein lay the paradox.

At Daniel 2:31-45 there is a "stone" "cut from" "a mountain (1)" that itself "becomes "a large mountain (2) and fills the whole earth". At Luke 22:29 Jesus says "make a covenant with you, just as my Father has made a covenant with me, for a kingdom". So seeing two kingdoms was pretty logical in the overall development.
Thus JWs teach Christ receives kingship in Kingdom 1, God's Kingdom, to oversee the Kingdom 2, Christ's Kingdom "birth" and we would think completion, but JWs will not complete their own logic. Bethel is a lobotomy of their own theology.

So in JW aborted theology the question would be RIGHT NOW Jesus holds temporary power in God's Kingdom, and is about to complete the Kingdom 2 Messianic Kingdom power system by completing all 144000. (Rev14:1, Rev7:1-8)

Thus Christ "rules" a supra-earthly "Kingdom of God", the one he would logically "hand back the Kingdom to God", to COMPLETE the Messianic Kingdom system DURING the "tribulation of those days" aftermath (as Christ does not arrive until AFTER that "tribulation of those days" phase has ended), and that is the final Messianic Kingdom power that "crushes and puts to an end all these kingdoms" of planet earth.

So Right now Christ would be, if JWs completed their logic, awaiting the final transformation cycle of his own power, and the global defiant system to also complete their own rival "8th King" system. It would not be "the end", it would be a final cycle. God and Christ would not attempt to stop the rival system trajectory, they would want it to complete so the conclusion sovereign confrontation could proceed.

Obviously Bethel not completing their own logic is suspect they are an apostasy and merely a multi-billion dollar non-charitable racket hiding under a religious veneer to profit now as "Kings" of the "faith", which is an abortion of even JW theology.

Yet strangely imo, that paradox holds the reality of the current state of Christ and Christian development. No one nows what is going on, including JWs. Irony and paradox simultaneously.
