Would that change your view on the account??? That's

    plausible.

Well, the parrot would of encouraged Eve to eat a cracker, instead of the forbidden fruit, so, we wouldn't be in this mess,

"And he seized the dragon, the ORIGINAL PARROT, WHO IS the Devil and Satan"... Nah, just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Actually the parrot would only have repeated God's words to Eve over and over about not touching that tree, so we would have been saved from all this misery.

Parrots "speak" by imitating the phonetic sounds they hear.

Who would have spoken the exact words it would have repeated to her (i.e. who would it have learned them from)?

How would it have known what to respond to her, after she replied to it?

And more importantly, why am I wasting my time answering questions about talking parrots in the garden of Eden?

Parrots don't know what they're saying, but it doesn't stop them from repeating things. I was assuming that the parrot had never heard any words except the ones recorded up to that point in the Bible. So about 50% of the time he'd recite a short poem about women ("This is now bone of my bones, squawk!"), and half the time he'd say not to touch that tree.

OK, the parrot flew from over the hill from a community that

Adam and Eve wasn't aware of. Those people knew about Adam

and Eve and their belief they are the only folks on earth.

So they played a sick joke.

If I had been a writer of the Bible, OH boy, you folks would be

    in great shape..

Wouldn't Eve like any other young woman be insulted by " Who's a pretty boy then?"

I'am surprised that no one has come forward and say, that

is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard, a talking parrot.

    I wonder why..
