I don't think people here on JWN look down on people who wash windows, it is simply shorthand to show that JW's and Elders in particular, are unqualified for all that they do.
Most window washers around here in the U.K earn good money, but very few will have Bible knowledge, be expert Relationship Counsellors, or know much about any of the skills expected of Spiritual Leaders.
Same with JW's.
I guess witness elders have bible knowledge and have some skills on shepherding etc based on how they have been taught... compared to an average non-witness window washer...
