This is interesting. Lots of posts praising and defending Palestinians
I have yet to see one post from anyone defending Israel.
So here is a very angry man attacking Israel's conduct in the Gaza
and the clear articulate response of Israel's position.

Israel is engaged in perpetual war because it demands to be an exclusively Zionist state. What would happen if West Bank Palestinians were given full rights as citizens together with real, enforced civil rights?
The Palestine Authority would fall apart. Hamas would scream as people from Gaza tried to leave for other Palestinian villages. Countries such as Iran would have a tough time trying to oppose a fully democratic Israel/Palestine. Anti-Zionist Jews such as Hasids and the Ultra-Orthodox would form political alliances with Arabs (as in "politics makes strange bedfellows").
The propagandistic mass media in the US in particular is so dominated by pro-Israel lobbyists, that alternatives never pop up in public attention.
If the US did it with regard to segregation, Israel can do it. If South Africa can do it with apartheid, Israel can too.

Israel is NOT an exclusive Jewish population. I am not sure where you are getting your information. There are 1,658,000 Israeli citizens who are Arabs, mostly Muslims, also including Arab Christians and Druze, Israeli by citizenship, living in Israel, voting and sitting in government. Did you know that ?
Media in Canada and US are pro Palestinian even though official government positions in the UK, Europe and America is that Hamas and Hezbola are terrorist organizations. Like ISIS. These Islamic organizations advocate Islamic Caliphates, which is based on religion. ISIS is systematically beheading all non Muslims in its path, they way the original Mohammedans/Muslims did in the 7th and 8th century whe they took over Europe and all the Middle east, North Africa and most of Asia, by armies who slaughtered anyone who would not "convert".
The territories and lands held by the Palestinian Authority have been given billions in foreign aid, all which was used to enrich Arafat and his cronies. The Gaza also recieved foreign aid and infrastructure help and could have spent the money building a nation and establishing thier own State. In the Gaza, they chose to elect a government whose sole purpose is the destruction of Israel. Israel withdrew from the Gaza, remember ?
Israel dragged it own settlers out of the area and made it exclusively under Palesitinian control, the billions the Gaza has received in funding is spent to buy weapons, rockets, missles, dig tunnels and wage endless war against Israel, instead of concentrating on peaceful self development. Israel is not the aggressor. The media coverage does not favor Israel as defending itself but paints it as the aggressor when it is Hamas that is the aggressor and ruins its own people in the process of its own agenda.
Palestinian is a name from the Latin used by the Romans, meaning Philistine. Some poster claimed they were "the lost 10 tribes of Israel" Genome Project Studies do not support this and they are not any "lost 10 tribes" they are descendant of the ancient Philistines, mentioned in the Bible. Misinformation is posted on many of these forums some claiming they get their information straight from Jesus talking to them.

The "rights" of Palestinians are a sad joke - as settlers run over them with cars, shoot them and cut down their olive trees - or cutoff access to their farm land with complicit support from Israeli authorities.
Pretty much like segregation in the US was....
Apartheid is still apartheid. Annex the West Bank and give them FULL Rights - and watch Hamas wither away. Even if a few fanatics persist, jobs, houses and a decent middle class life will change everything. Why shouldn't they be violent? Like prisoners in "maxi-max", they often have nothing to lose.
And your solution? More killing? More segregation? How does it get fixed otherwise?

Israel was founded by Jewish terrorists (such as Menachem Begin, former PM).
Think terrorists can't change? Apparently, Israel did. Even Yassir Arafat knew that wives and kids and a house would "domesticate" many of these guys - because that's what he helped arrange years ago when his movement had to absorb a number of them.

Israel is not attacking its neighbors. Jordan and Israel are at Peace. Israel and Egypt are working together. Israel and Lebanon have peaceful relations. The UN Patition of 1947 divide the land into essentially two States. As soon as the UN troops left in 1948 , Arab armies invaded Israel, not the other way around.
The land Israel was allotted was purchased as swamp and desert from Egyptian landowners and Lebanese landowners over a period of 30 years by the worldwide Zionist movement. The actual people who lived there were not land owners they were tenants, renters, leaseholders. Many stayed and became Israeli citizens, many left and became refugees because other Arab nations would not allow them into their countries.
Now ? The answer ? Peace among Arabs, peace among Muslim sects, unity and establishing a Palestinian State, with an actual government, functioning, with a Legal Systems, Courts of Law, Houses of Parliament, Departments of Sanitation, Ministry of Health and Education, Public Buildings, Department of Engineers and Architects, Water and Plumbing. Social Housing. Infrastructure.
The only infrastructure they have was built by Israel, not because billion of dollars didn't flow into the Palestinian Authority, but because they mis-spent it and stole it, as in Arafats wife living in Paris France on a budget of $100,000 a month. And hiding money in Swiss Banks and claiming poverty. Mis-management and corruption. In fighting. This is what has prevented a Democratic State of Palestine from developing. That and the concentration of all resources on the sole purpose of the destruction of Israel. Israel, which is a scrap of land 3/4 the size of Vancouver Island. Its insane waste.
The fact there are ex jws here, amazes me that they have so much hostility to the idea of Zion or Israel as a State. Since its mentioned all over their Bibles, as is Jerusalem, like a permeating theme, and it extends into the scriptures written after the death of Christ, as in Romans 11th chapter where Paul says Israel is the main root and tree and Christians are only grafted in, so that Israel is the recipient of the new covenant, not the Gentiles. God never breaks his covenant with them.
I am hostile to any religion or political group dominating others! Christian, Muslim, even atheist. It seems to me that this is a reasonable response to a 'Watchtower" past.

The occupation of one country by another, is the very definition of history. We oocupy Native Lands, China occupies Tibet and its Western Region whose inhabitants want to secede. Syria occupies Lebanon. Saudia Arabia is ruled by one family who cannot be voted out of office and relegates women to stone age status. (much like the WTBS)
Africa was colonized and its resources plundered for hundreds of years and its unity broken. America imported living human beings and used them as slaves for 300 years and that only ended in 1865 , a second ago , in history. No one has any right to point the finger at Israel as some illegitimate upstart with no right to exist on this planet.
Haters need someone to hate. These exjw forums seem to be full of haters of Israel and finding ammunition is easier that sorting out truth in a rational discussion. Describing the Democray of Israel as a founded by "terrorists" is not rational or truth based or factual, or anything but misinformation and hate motivated. If you want to hate terrorists look at what ISIS is doing right now as we speak.
Its not about magical numbers of casualities, its about having Hamas honor and respect and abide by a CEASEFIRE they are the ones who break the ceasefire , not Israel.
