March 22, 1993. Article: Why so many false alarms?

    *** g93 3/22 p. 3 Why So Many False Alarms? ***
They do not claim that their predictions are direct revelations from Jehovah and that in this sense they are prophesying in Jehovah’s name.

    *** g93 3/22 p. 4 Why So Many False Alarms? ***
Never in these instances, however, did they presume to originate predictions ‘in the name of Jehovah.’ Never did they say, ‘These are the words of Jehovah.’

In the same page, the purpose of the Awake:

“this magazine builds confidence in the Creator’s promise of a peaceful and secure new world before the generation that saw the events of 1914 passes away.”

"Never said these are the words of Jehovah??"

thats is a LIE - in an article from the 70s they said that when they have said something they back it up with the scripture "These are the words of Jehovah."

i think it was called"They will know a Prophet was among them"- don't have the litterature myself anymore. So I can't post it.

Enemies, 1937 (ALL religion is a snare and a racket)

Religion, 1940 (ALL religion is a snare and a racket)

Aid to Bible Understanding (Ray Franz)

I only kept the WT Concordance, it helps me locate scriptures that I am familiar with by in the past using the NWT , Reference NWT, an Interlinear, and a couple of pretty damning mags, original copies, not changed Bound Volume versions.

I have acomplete set of Russell's "Studies in the Scriptures" which I think I may sell on E-bay soon.

All my Bound Volumes from the early 1950's, along with Song Books and numerous 190 (?) page books, I burned. Started the buggers off with petrol, dangerous I know, and had to finish 'em off with paraffin, they must be demonised, they do not want to burn.

I have a feeling that up in my loft there may be some more of the WT's rubbish, if so, when we have a clearout soon, that will go too, burn you bastards !

My bonfire of the vanities was some years ago now, but I know it gave me pleasure to do it, cutting the cord if you like, and freeing up valuable Bookshelf space for more worthy works, my latest being a Folio edition of Darwin's "On the Origin of Species", still in its plastic wrapper, which I picked up at a Boot Fair for £8.

Funny, as I look back I realise I always kept the WT stuff out of sight, ashamed of it I guess, now I proudly display my Library of books on Evolution, Science in other fields, Philosophy and Literature of many genres, not a WT book in sight of course.
