When I was 6 or 7, I didn't mind doing the Bible reading.
When I was 37, and still stuck at just doing the Bible reading, I was getting kind of annoyed.
I know that learning how to read and just speak in front of a crowd at an early age helped later in school and in my job.
But when you have to give presentations at work, or "stand tall in front of the man" when you are dealing with an angry customer, the Bible reading is pretty much small potatoes and more of an annoyance than anything else.
I don't see there being anything wrong with teaching a kid how to do public reading at a young age, if they are ready for it. I do agree with finally awake that the young ladies should be allowed the chance to read aloud as well.
