Have you noticed an upward trend in GB worship since the AGM?

Yes. I have noticed more references to the faithful and discreet slave in prayers and lately there has been more mention of the governing body in prayers. But it's mostly the faithful and discreet slave (not that there's any difference between the two in JW Land).

    The Slave

We are the slave so faithful and true
we are here to look after you

You shall obey us, like it or not
    even when we lie somewhat

We are your brothers, that is all
but disobey us, then you fall

We are your fellow domestics too
but never tell us what to do

We give you the food that you need
in WT articles from which you feed

We travel the world to give you talks
so you never wear tight pants for walks

We know what you need before you pray
just do it the Governing Body way

We meet three times a week to decide what to do
but we don't need any input from you

Just your donations, your money, we need
to build and invest, but it's not greed

Pray for us to do our best
we don't care about the rest

We are the slave, so faithful and true
we like it that way and so should you.

Interestingly, the brochure "Who Are Doing Jehovah's Will Today?" number 20 where the page is titled " How Does The Governing Body Function", the last sentence in the final paragraph says: " The Governing Body appreciates our prayers in it's behalf".

    Our CO prayed for them.

And he prayed for the single mothers, the elderly, the young ones, the sick, those in trouble.

So the prayer was for many. Including the GB. But he specifically mentioned, in many sentences, the single mothers. I found that nice.

TOH. yes that is nice, appropriate, because these kinds of individuals are mentioned directly in the Bible. Praying for the faithful steward would be good too, its part of the text.

by sticking to these categories, we show that our INTENTIONS are truthful. Your word is truth,

    *** w11 8/15 p. 18 A History-Making Meeting ***

Brother Lett urged the audience to keep praying that the Governing Body, as the representative of the slave class, continue to be not only faithful but also wise, or discreet.—Matt. 24:45-47.

    *** w90 11/15 p. 22 “Pray for One Another” ***

Especially should we pray for our brothers who shoulder great responsibilities within Jehovah’s organization. This includes those who direct the organization and prepare the spiritual food dispensed by “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Matthew 24:45-47) For instance, members of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses merit our prayers, and we can pray that God grant them “a spirit of wisdom.”—Ephesians 1:16, 17.

    *** w89 12/15 p. 21 par. 5 Offer Sacrifices That Please Jehovah ***

Local elders and members of the Governing Body take the lead among us; hence, we should respect them and pray that God grant them the wisdom needed to govern the congregation. (Compare Ephesians 1:15-17.)

    *** km 8/90 p. 4 par. 11 Keep Bearing Fruit With Endurance ***

We want to thank Jehovah for these, and we also pray for his continued blessing on the work of the faithful slave and its Governing Body. Their humble, untiring efforts in our behalf and in behalf of sheeplike ones around the world are very much appreciated.

    *** km 11/90 p. 8 par. 6 Presenting the Good News—In a Prayerful Manner ***

It is also good to pray for congregation elders, traveling overseers, and the Governing Body—all of “those who are working hard among you.”—1 Thess. 5:12.

Praying for others is a start but as James said, it takes more than words to help others.

(James 2:15, 16) . . .If a brother or a sister is in a naked state and lacking the food sufficient for the day, 16 yet a certain one of YOU says to them: “Go in peace, keep warm and well fed,” but YOU do not give them the necessities for [their] body, of what benefit is it?

The WT comments made by our CO and others who want to sound really connected always point out how "this is what the Branch or the GB are putting across to us." Gag. I thought this was a group of people who wanted to know God!

Aren't we thankful for all the lies and corruption of the leaders of the Watchtower Publishing house.

    .

Lets now pray that we can again receive more lies and corruption from these godly devoted men

directed by god's holy spirit. ..... eeesh
