I thought i'd share the 2014 Yearbook Stats. I converted the file to excel format & sorted the Increase in Publisher's column from largest to smallest. As i suspected, the growth is limited to a very few # of "lands." The highlighted Red countries are latin/spanish & the Blue is African.

top 7 Countries account for more than 50% growth

top 19 Countries account for 75% growth

I've only copied a small portion of the chart. If u like the full file, contact me.

Let me clarify. I listed USA as spanish - Red. From information circulating, the growth is largely supplied from Spanish congregations.

And if you think about it, the Phillipines WAS a Spanish country... An extremely catholic country in Asia...

I have thought about it and, the following factors influence growth:

Catholicisim of the country is a HUGE factor for growth.

Poverty of the country is another factor.

Third factor is the length of time the religion has been in the country. USA and Mexico have had some of the longest.

I'm not sure thatmath makes sense ...

That is a great table. I hope you don't mind if I take your figures add it to an article I am writing for jwfacts.com. Interesting to see that the relgion is having very little success in the majority of the world.

I think it would be clearer seeing the full chart. As presented, it seems like bad math. But this could be due to lack of data.

It isn't actually percent increase. It is the percent OF THE TOTAL increase. The countries listed account for 83.31% of all the JWs growth in 2013. ALL other countries combined only account for 16.69% of growth.

If he had shown his formulas it would have been more obvious where the numbers come from.

Another factor would be to show increase factored versus population growth.

there is a lot od copulations in some populations

Another item would be to factor in population growths, and comparing the advances of other agressive recruiting cults.

Not only the population growth of the country but the population growth of the JWs themselves. I suspect the majority of new publishers are JW kids growing up to become publisher-age.

The math makes sense: It's the cumulative growth%, i.e. if you add the percentage growth of Mexico + USA you get 24.73%, add Mexico +USA+ Congo and you get 31%, etc etc...
