Part of the strenuous indoctrination a person goes through in becoming a JWS is shutting out facts and Truth
that shows the WTS. is not god's chosen organization and this was purposely done so by the leaders of the
WTS. for its leaders were corrupt devious men cultivating power and money from out people..
The most important doctrine was that Jehovah was using their organization and no other organization.

From here the exploitation and manipulation really stems from.
Sometimes the most important thing you can get across to someone who is your friend is that you have researched it, and are convinced it is accurate. So what you are trying to reconcile, is not the truness of the actions (since you have already verified), but what those actions may or may not mean.
The UN thing is not a big deal for me personally. I see it as a screw up, and something that was done in poor judgement, but not a smoking gun. Blood to me is a smoking gun. But for others....its the thing that wakes them up. So don't feel bad if people don't respond to a particular subject the way that you do. Try to find the thing that gets them angry. There are plenty.
I just got traction with the whole malawi political card vs the passport oath pretty much every USA american signed at one point. It made the person VERY upset.
It was on the website at one point.
Have your person contact the UN and ask them directly.

Personally, I believe WTBTS could have come up with a better excuse than the library card. They could have said that they were using the United Nations to assist in disaster relief and promoting religious freedom.
For new comers or interested parties, this is good information; there are still witnesses that either are unaware of the UN involvement, or passively deny it. There are some Brothers like Brandt Jones that were eventually disfellowshipped for writing an inquiring letter to WT about their involvment.
Please don't call the UN directly. That is why they posted the letter in the first place, in an attempt to stem the tide.

Anybody else notice they requested to get out AFTER Sept 11? Bet they were shitting a brick when 9/11 happened and were like lets get out of the UN!!!
That's an interesting suggestion I hadn't thought of, ?evrything, but I think the timing also coincided with widening attention being drawn to their NGO status.
