Yeah Christmas has been a breeze: my family is happy, we enjoy good food, the children and adults alike love giving each other gifts, and none of us has gone into debt, get drunk or fight.
Oh a couple of years ago a JW I know had a party on Christmas night and it got so wild the police were called, people were bashed and drunk, and someone damaged the property. The house owner didn't press charges though because that person had powerful friends in the congregation.
Yeah, Christmas has a family taint to it. New Year's Eve is where you can find your "wild debauchery, drinking & fighting."
Have fun folks. Love one another, love your family, and don't let them take away our heritage away. Not without them throwing away their ties and wedding rings - forever.

I sincerely apologize for our failure to live up to the WTBTS's statements but there's hope. I bought TWO bottles of Roscato wine for Christmas dinner and there's only 5 of us that will be here.
Maybe we'll do some debauchery after that!
