Was it revised to be this way, or is it the same reference as in the older edition?

Xbehere perhaps they looked at Isaiah in a SPIRITUAL way, like

    Isaiah 43:1 " --- O ISRAEL,

SPIRITUAL Israel, the Israel of god, the 144 000, (WRONG)

the 12 tribes--- wt: all christians (RIGHT)

There is no such cross-reference in the Revised NWT - it's been deleted!

Then again, they've still retained both false translations of the Greek word 'phobos' (from which we derive 'phobia' or fear) as being "deep respect" at 1 Peter 3:2, 15. (See footnote in Reference Bible = "lit. means fear)

So if a Christian wife has an unbelieving husband who ridicules her faith in Christ and her belief in the Bible, she must have "deep respect" for such a man????

I think what Peter was referring to was a Godly fear of the headship arrangement, not having "deep respect" for ridiculers etc. Respect is earned, not mandatory!

Haha, I was confused by the subject line of your post. I thought this was going to be about the cross.
