  My wife, who is a die hard witness, always said,

  "Any one not a witness will die at armaggedon"

  was watching the news yesterday.

  I forget exctly what was being reported but it was about

  some group helping others in various ways.

  She suddenly said:

  " I'm sure Jehovah isn't going to destroy everyone at Armaggedon.

  There are some really nice people who are not witnesses who I am

  sure Jehovah will save."

  Gasp, choke... did I hear that??????

  I replied.. "Yes I am sure that is the case...."

  I was flabbergasted. I never expected to hear that, especially from her.

  An Elder...very close to me...said the same exact thing. In fact he went further and said that he believes all genuinely good hearted people would be saved.

  That was one of MANY eye openers for me......

  If all good-hearted people are to be saved, what's the point of the preaching work? How will "the nations be rocked?" Why bother? I guess that's a point that could be poked and prodded a bit if the opportunity presents itself again.

  When my wife said that, I went the "well see? You don't believe everything the JWs believe" route.... Didn't exactly pan out as expected...

  Maybe the Jehovah of the OT would destroy eveyone except JW's at the big 'A', but the Jesus of the NT will temper him down and spare ALL the good people.
