I always thought the Karmann Ghia was pretty cool but at 6'4" it takes a shoe horn to get me into one and the Fire Department to get me out.

Many of my First Time's happened in a VW Bus. Most sweet, some tragically sad. Over the years I have owned many VW Bugs and Bus's. To this day when I see a Bus on the road, I wave and give them a PEACE sign. Most of the time they send one back and we both SMILE!

A true VW bus story of attraction.

An older beige/white vw bus, used as a work wagen was carlessly parked on a steep hill street ( no brake, wheels not canted into curb) and got loose and ran downhill, crossed the street, the front lawn in a very upscale neighbourhood and hit,

broad - sided a blue vw bus of similar vintage. surprisingly little shared damage.

the absent (minded) driver escaped negligence charges.

pet peeve: besides absent frontal protection, no aircon, little heat.

Who revived VW after the war? the same folks that made and tried to sell the austins, vauxhalls and morris minors.

what took Chrysler so long to bring in the minivans?
