  I think a far more likely (and far more disturbing) hypothetical scenario would go more like this...

  ...the GB, facing a tsunami of lawsuits, plateauing membership, apathetic R&F, increasingly effective XJW opposition, declining publication "sales", and dwindling revenue flow, becomes increasingly marginilized and extremist, and comes to the conclusion (cynically, perhaps) that Great Tribulation has actually arrived.

  They can't "skip town" without losing face, so, in desperation, they send out instructions to all the congregations worldwide to suspend the preaching work and/or go into some kind of holding pattern and wait for further direction (or in the event of an impending mass Exodus, finding pretexts to dissolve hundreds of congregations and DF thousands rather than face the ignominity of mass walkaways),

  Then they can lock the gates to the Warwick complex with a core membership of loyalists to serve them (maybe even move into the underground areas, assuming they're furnished and outfitted), fully convinced that the End has finally come and they have only to wait it out.

  If anybody thinks that this scenario is far-fetched, remember that these people have everything invested in the WT; without it, they have nothing.

  I don't remember them talking about a rapture , the saints have to die but they don't believe they need be martyred by the human rulers of the world but they die of natural causes . The twinkling of an eye is in reference to how long they are dead , they get resurrected on the spot without actually being laid to rest. I believe the saints have to die as martyrs for preaching the gospel good news as what the bible clearly says in revelation very plainly and through out the entire new testament .Jesus even told them , they will deliver you up to be executed . NYC is run by the mafia so I don't blame them for wanting out and wouldn't doubt they've been pressured to leave .

  They're doing exactly the same thing that the rest of the world-cabal of crooked bankers, cult leaders and bought-off politicians are doing everywhere; retiring and planning their escape from the enevitable onslaught of angry people that they have swindled, stolen from, maimed and murdered over the past century. Not only ex- Watchtower affiliates but the entire planet is waking up to the scam of scams, the ultimate ponzi sceme; a scheme in which the WTS is only one of the players...

  There's no reason to disappear. They have everything they could possibly want now and when they move to Warwick it only gets better for them.

  Whether you believe in the ongoing effort to create a UN led monolithic one world government (New World Order) or not, just look at what the promoters of that agenda are trying to accomplish, then compare it with JW doctrine. Politically they are tit for tat. The religious aspect is only the control mechinism. The WTO is one of many organizations and that have been recruted over the past century to promote the ideals of this scheme; ideals like learning how to be subserviant little robots for the all knowing "leadership" class and not worrying about politics. Just the type of citizens you need for an efficiently operating fascist world government. Armageddon fits neatly into the package when you see what the British Queen and the rest of the world elite have in store for us; the drastic and timely reduction of the population down to a manageable size. They say less that one billion. This also solves their huge financial problem since they are presently bankrupt beyond redemption. This stated objective of massive population reduction was openly promoted by the Queens representatives at the recent Oslo climate accords in Norway. They wipe out their debts in one swoop and keep the remaining spoils for themselves. They then own all the wealth and any of the lower class that survive will be virtual slaves. Looks like they may get their way if the spineless US congress allows the criminal and puppet of the Queen in the Whitehouse to follow through with attacking Syria. The real truth is indeed stranger than fiction...
