Congratulations on your book! Your writing style is clear and concise, which is great. Just read a few pages so far about the fuzzy way JWs obtain the 'Truth' and I had to laugh - it seems like who the FDS is has already changed since the time you wrote this? Validates your point I think. Good book.

AngusOg, I read the first 50 pages. I like your attitude that we have been lied to and we owe them nothing!
From your writing, it is obvious you have been out awhile. The information on several doctines is outdated:
Shunning-- Not even a word to a DF'd or DA'd family member living outside the home
"This Generation" is now an "Over-lapping Generation"
The GB is now the FDS
There have been profound changes in doctrine in just the last couple of years. The increase in control is scary. Is there anything that could be done at this point in the publishing process to bring the book up-to-date, giving a clearer picture of today's JWland?

Yes, out since 2000. I'm not sure it matters too much—the book is deliberately not about doctrinal fine points. But I suppose I should learn something about this 'overlapping generation' BS—is there an online article about it?
