The Stanley was designed by architect Fred Welsey Wentworth.

A Universalist and a Republican, Wentworth was a member of a number of societies: Scottish Rite Freemasonry and the Shriners..

Ok, but they didn't build the Stanley Theater.

The convention stage is their own design.

2011 convention: Ancient Greece and Rome were evil! Have nothing to do with them!

2013 convention: Ancient Greek and Roman temples were pretty! We're going to use a mock-up for our backdrop on the stage while we tell you not to have anything Pagan in your home!

    ^Something like that.

The masons are nothing but a bunch of bore middle aged men, im not pretending this is in any way mystical or even that interesting. But 'gods organisation on earth' is hardly untarnished with the same bullsh*t as every other cult and religion....

this is my one and only point.
