Any advice about what REALLY works for deep wrinkles/ sun damage? The New System is not here, and I worked outside for years without adequate protection from the sun. I don't want to be overly-concerned about looks because we all age. Still, I see many people older than I am, and their skin looks younger. Is laser re-surfacing an option? Are their natural methods that work? I don't mind spending some cash, but I do not want to throw my money away. Any advice?

I use Tretinoin (Retin-A prescription strength) at night and a moisturizer with protective vitamin C esters with 30 SPF sunscreen and Omega 3 supplements. There is nothing you can really do for deep wrinkles except surgical intervention, however you can soften them a little and get rid of fine lines but I think that's about all you can do.

Actually I think guys look quite attractive with a few wrinkles myself... more distinguished looking. Us women can't get away with it so easily (more's the pity). Suncream is really important though in the summer, you don't want to get skin cancer.

I read recently that a good sunblock will actually reverse sun damage if used consistently. This is new, it was thought previously that it only prevented wrinkles. I have started using a Sun block as a moisturizer in the morning under my makeup.

Wrinkles never did Mick Jagger much harm.

George Melly once asked Mick why he had so many wrinkles, he replied "They're laughter lines, George"

George Melly said "Nothing could be that funny!"

Data - Dog...I noticed Gordon Ramsey's, Wrinkle dog face, has been rejuvenated. He has less wrinkles. I don't know what he did. You are just 40? It is never too late to start looking after yourself. You can hopefully, plan on having another 40 years of quality life.

You say it's not your face, it's just your neck. I would suggest to start protecting your neck today. Whatever you have done, you will need to protect that area from here on in.

You must have had a number of bad sunburns. I think I would leave all the drug store, over the counter applications of whatever behind and make an appointment to see a skin specialist(s). They will closely examine your skin for pre-existing and existing skin damage, including cancer. They will tell you which sun screen will work best for your skin type, including taking into consideration what type of work or play you are involved in, to get just your neck so sun damaged. They will show you all the different treatments available and their costs.

Acid peels work 100%. Your Dermentologist Specialist will suggest what will work best for you, including aftercare.

    Just Lois
