I remember (back in the early 80s) a pioneer trying to sell (besides Amway), a small square piece of anodized aluminum that was supposedly able to attract free energy from the universe and give the holder of said metal more energy. I think he was a little put off with my lack of enthusiasm for it.

Blonde brought this to my attention a couple of week ago. Who knew? Such a blantant scam.

The only positive thing I saw out of it was the published comment, when the WT wanted to distance themselves from the scam: "We....try to be honest, fearless, sincere and helpful. If we make mistakes forgive us. We repent "seventy times seven"." That was very impressive that they actually admited a mistake.

That would NEVER happen now....
