One of the supreme court Justices who was close to 90 was being escorted on a walk by his law clerk when a very pretty young lady walked past. The clerk heard the justice mumble something and asked what he had said. "I said OH to be seventy again!"

I will be 70 soon and look forward........ since there's no point in looking back.

My Sex drive is my business other then to say if you have had regular sex for the past 52 years you should have experienced just about every thing. It's not a big deal any more.

I exercise in a community pool to lessen the impact on my joints. I lift water barbells and I am stronger then when I was 60. I no longer box. I am saving that one good punch I still have in me for when ever I need it. I am slow to anger and prefer reasonable discussion to settle disputes.

I am retired and manage my own portfolio (mostlly mutual funds) with good success. I read this forum since I know and understand you guys because of our shared experiences.

I read 4 or more books a month. Two or three newspapers a day.

I play competitive chess once a week and while I can't always win against our stronger players.......... I can make them sweat. And occasionally do something that makes me grin.

I spend a fair amount of time doing volunteer work. While considered a senior trustee I can still think out of the box and come up with ideas that contribute to the community I live in and love.

I have been out of the so called truth for some 47 years and my wife and I will celebrate our 50th this year. Every morning we have breakfast in bed (we take turns) and every evening at six I make a gin Martini (very dry) and she has her 2nd and last cigarette of the day and we talk about what we accomplished, who we met and what they had to say or just family stuff (son, daughter in law and three grandchildren who live a mile away).

I can still make my wife laugh and she me and my son now thinks his parents got a heck of a lot smarter then when he was a teenager. I tell him he's still my favorite son (he's our only child).

I expect to die with a morphine pump easing my way sometime in the next 5 to 15 years.......hopefully with a good book at hand..........if I am lucky. Being shot by a jealous husband was never an option.

I am 59 and am in very good health. I don't take any prescription medications and rarely take over the counter meds.

Try to eat good healthy whole foods. Limit refined foods, only occasional junk food. Don't let yourself go, don't smoke of course.

Keep active and keep up with pop culture and the latest in technology. Never stop learning and associate with younger people.

Oh yes, forget that you are getting old.

I will be sixty next year, in November, is that close enough? For health, I try to buy organic as much as possible, I don't eat fast food or highly processed food. A good rule is to not buy anything your grandmother would not recognize as food. I read labels, cook mostly from scratch, it's cheaper, healthier and better testing than most pre made foods. For stress relief, walking and meditation. Yes, there is sex later in life, but but at this point we go for quality over quantity.

    Been there, done that.

Am now "boldly going where I have not been before."

    Destination: Oblivion.

    Health secrets? You're kidding, right?

Stress relief? Deep breathing exercise. Beneficial in other ways too.

Happy Birthday, Blondie! I'll be 50 next month. I'm really bummed out by it so I'm not even going to discuss 60.
