    Too many square-heads in the US to think about having this type of transportation.

    If it's not a Ford 150 pickup truck with a gun rack and brass balls hanging off the trailer hitch, it's not "real" transportation.

    I just rode a MagLev train in another country. Yeah, it was pretty cool

    Wanting truth, the Eurostar (I use it a fair bit) is quick but nothing like a MagLev. Hummingbird, that really is a blur.

    Sounds fantastic ! do they have other advantages than speed ? is the energy consumption lower overall, for example ?

    Great question Phizzy, I would imagine that even though there is less friction the power required to generate the magnetic field would be pretty significant.
