New arrangement for June...
Nothing in what you posted is "new" - pioneers have been doing that for decades.
In the comfort of my lovely house, I have many sincere thoughts of witnessing to householders. Can I count them?
Don't forget the time that people put in that could never auxiliary or regular pioneer at the old hours.
5 to 30 hours/month
5 to 50 hours/month
5 to 70 hours/month
How many hours are required to bring in one newly baptized publisher? Surely there is a mathmatical equation to be found given the statistics that are released.
I remember on jwfacts.com they used Yearbook stats work out that Witnesses logged around 5000 field service hours for each new baptism. If that's true then I don't really need to pass further comment do I?
Here is some info from JWFACTS.com
" In 1969 there was one baptism for every 1,983 hours of preaching. During the 1980s it had risen to 3,000 hours. From 1990 to 2005 the number of hours preaching required per baptism increased from 3000 to 5000, an increase of 60%.
More significant is the number of hours required for an additional publisher. Due to the large increase in Witnesses leaving the religion, the number of hours preaching required per additional publisher has doubled from 4,000 in the early 1990's to over 8,000 since 2000. The difference from 1991 and 2005 from 4,000 to 16,000 is 400%."
Here is the page it was taken from, lots of great number crunching on that page.

NJY
NJY,
Seems like JWFacts got a better handle on what's happening than the Governing Body CEOs. They are not flexible enough to change the corporations business model to match the times, instead they are only interested in beating a dead horse ->increased efforts in the preaching work, an unproductive work with very little fruits for the labor, hoping for the end of the world to come soon before their business collaspes according to their off beat loonie bible interpetations.
For all their bragging about the preaching work, they are remarkably incompetent at it. And for all the bragging about how honest they are, they lie a lot about how much field service is actually done.
To simultaneosuly feel justified in lying and to not view your lie as a lie is quite a feat of mental gymnastics.
In mental health circles, it would qualify as delusional thinking.
Who actually cares what their growth is? The WT assumes the entire world is riveted, waiting to hear of giant increases. Does field service time correlate with character as a Christian, a social gospel, or being Christlike. No. In the 1950s, I believed that my little bit of time would bring justice from God sooner. Of course, as a little kid I was afraid of Armageddon.
Does anyone here cared about the growth of Hare Krishnas? So what. This info and a subway token will get you to Brooklyn before the WT leaves.
I wonder what crap they use to inflate the number of publishers. I know there is nowhere near 7 million honest, sincere witlesses--maybe around 800,000-1.2 million sincere witlesses and another 6.5-7 million that are afraid of Brother Hounder.
