    James yes, I get it. what i find amazing also, the emotions it can stir in you. so hard to put it into words. the omg WOW factor.

    When i see newly hatched baby chicks with thei other hen, how she minds them, chatters to them. love it.

    Hortensia love em. only ever seen them on telly, lucky you.

    cantleave you just reminded me of the cuckoo. Every morning when my son ws little I used walk him to school (take like 20mins) and i would tell him the story of the cuckoo, he got fixated on that story, it was like ritual, every morning, every afternoon ''tell me bout the cuckoo mum''' he was 5, lol.

    Bees - are in serious danger.

    The Mission of San Juan Capistrano in California, is famous for the return of the Swallows, every March, flying from their wintering grounds in Argentina.

    Because of urban developement and lack of wetlands which the swallows need to construct their mud homes, there is zero to very little of these birds

    sighted now at the old Mission.

    Many years ago, I was there in March, and enjoyed watching their return.

    awh Lois that's a shame. yeah, if it gets to dry here, I makes sure i always keep a wet bit of earth for them, just in case.
