Any religion is loaded with sincere people. It's when they treat you different because you won't conform that there is a problem.

This is not directly on topic. I would appreciate hearing from others what is a rare insight into scripture. When I read in Jsoeph Campbell and other authors on ancient cultures, it was reported that you were born with a temporary name. When you grew a bit more, there would be a renaming ceremony. The lasting name had to do with a personal skill or characteristic. The Jewish view of God is fundamentally opposed to the Christian view. In Judaism, no human can be God. God is that which is not human. God is not good or love. God is something that cannot be apprehended by human concepts. Good and love may approach the human notion of God but God is not contained by such terms.

I Am WHAT I AM seems to be the essence of Jewish belief. God refuses to have any name. YHWH is inappropriate. God cannot be limited by human terms or names.

    What do others think?
