I don't know what Undercover is talking about. I think he's just jiving.

Welcome aboard. If you have the strength, that Tae Kwon Doe or something similar might be helpful for your health.

Good job noticing the elders don't use the Bible for the "rules."

Don't be in a hurry to figure things out (by your thread title, "so now what?"). You have the rest of your life to find your way.

    Kaltas1,

Alas, I am nobody's father in law...I've no kids.

But I get where you are coming from…sometimes I hope (especially toward newcomers) that it is somebody I know.

BTW...keep in mind newcomers get only 10 posts a day and you are almost at the limit.

Undercover is being a brat. There is no fan page.

Welcome! How is your new wife with your discoveries? How much have you opened up to her? Often Witnesses waken up at different rates and it is critical how you approach her so she is not frightened in to zeal. I do so love when couples leave together.

I can relate to your searching and coming to new understandings about the bible. Trying to reconcile all the books in to a cohesive doctrine is doomed to failure or stupidity. Like that the death of a baby is appropriate punishment for adultery (David and Bathsheba). If each book is taken as it's own in context of history and culture, it makes a lot more sense.
