I think they will hold on to DCs as long as they can. They make an emotional impact on JWs and it is probably the only time of year the illusion becomes close to reality in their imaginations.
Sure they are tired and exhausted and can't remember a thing that was said, but the emotional impact from being around so many people caught up in a make believe world is enough to make their doubts go away.
