Heh, I didn't do much with VB except write long-ass macros for work, but that didn't require any serious code, just lots and lots of simple stuff. But in C, I've been doing the same thing, combining booleans into 'char's (bytes) so I can send them over networks efficiently. These days, it's rarely necessary to lump data together like that to save on memory or disk space, but network bandwidth is still a precious commodity.

1. Obey the Governing Body in everything and believe (or pretend) that they speak for God.
2. "Are the words between the quotation marks correct? Then there's no problem!" Outside source authority may be quoted to prove a point if you leave out the parts that contradict our teachings. Partial quotations are best. To get rid of refuting thoughts simply delete them from the quotation and place three dots instead ...
3. The Governing Body can't be a False Prophet when we say things which prove untrue because we always surround the word prophet with quotation marks "prophet" when we speak about ourselves! Jehovah's channel of communication by holy spirit is a nifty way of claiming inspiration without actually saying it.
4. The best way to junk bad teachings is to be quiet about them for a long time and then start teaching it differently with greater regularity. Disguise errors by referring to it as "old Light".
5. Every Jehovah's Witness is free to follow their own conscience. If that goes contrary to GB teaching you will be disfellowshipped for rebellion. Free choice is important to us!
6. Enforce the September 15,1981 rules to suppress dissent. Any person who leaves the organization willingly or otherwise and voices disagreement is to be shunned as the "vilest creature on earth."
7. Make it clear there is no honorable way out of this religion! Shut up and do what you are told!
