Zed - Yes, correct. They went through the BSCC after having been turned down year after year for bethel and gilead and circuit work training (they're extremely proud and judgmental people and I can only imagine that after counseling the CO on certain items - no kidding - even the Borg couldn't stomach them in special full time service).
They've been serving in a foreign language field for years and went to the BSCC in that foreign language, but haha, they were sent to urban-of-urban city (after being in the sticks their whole lives) to learn a super-unusual language with a notoriously unreceptive culture.
I wonder at times if they weren't given that god-awful assignment because their instructors thought they needed to learn some humility.
