Didn't Jesus symbolically give a blood transfusion for all of mankind?

Jesus poured out his life blood, his soul, on behalf of mankind. The wine taken at the memorial of Christ's death represents this life, given as a sacrifice to atone for Adamic sins. Jesus said that unless you eat of his flesh and drink of his blood, you have no life in yourself. Christians are commanded to partake of Jesus' 'blood' annually on Nisan 14. So in a sense, Christians are symbolically drinking Christ's blood, for the purpose of saving life. It's a spiritual blood transfusion.

Without imbibing Jesus blood as represented by the wine, without taking it into one's body, one cannot have their sins forgiven by virtue of the ransom sacrifice and cannot be in the new covenant.

The soul, the life, is in the blood. By his death, Jesus gave his blood to give life to humankind. He was giving up his own soul, his life, as represented by his blood, to impart soul, life, to dying mankind.

There was no greater act of love than this, Jesus said.

In principle, how is a blood transfusion different? Isn't donating one's blood to save a life an act of selfless agape love that Jesus would be pleased with? Instead, the Watchtower Society has perverted it to make it seem as if this is an act that greatly displeases God, that brings spiritual death.

    Its all just metaphor.

Bible metaphors try to make sense of how to appease the wrath of an angry god. Apparently the sight of Jesus bloody body on the cross made god happy again.

    ransom sacrifice

How was blood used in sacrifices in Israel? Put on the outside of the altar or the cover. That would mean that symbolically Christ's blood would be spattered outside. Even in Revelation it says that those escaping the great tribulation would wash their robes in the blood. None of the descriptions indicate ingesting or infusing blood internally. I'm in favor of people have the choice to accept blood transfusions without repercussions from their religious group. But this seems to be stretching it a bit.

Rev 7:14 So right away I said to him: “My lord, you are the one that knows.” And he said to me: “These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation, + and they have washed their robes and made them white + in the blood + of the Lamb.

Leviticus 17 And Jehovah went on to speak to Moses, saying: 2 “Speak to Aaron and his sons and all the sons of Israel, and you must say to them, ‘This is the thing that Jehovah has commanded, saying:

3 “‘“As for any man of the house of Israel who slaughters a bull or a young ram or a goat in the camp or who slaughters it outside the camp 4 and does not actually bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting+ to present it as an offering to Jehovah before the tabernacle of Jehovah, bloodguilt will be counted to that man. He has shed blood, and that man must be cut off from among his people,+5 in order that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they are sacrificing in the open field,+ and they must bring them to Jehovah to the entrance of the tent of meeting to the priest,+ and they must sacrifice these as communion sacrifices to Jehovah.+ 6 And the priest must sprinkle the blood upon Jehovah’s altar+ at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and he must make the fat+ smoke as a restful odor to Jehovah.+

11 For the soul of the flesh is in the blood, + and I myself have put it upon the altar for YOU to make atonement+ for YOUR souls, because it is the blood + that makes atonement + by the soul [in it]. *

    LEV 16

14 “And he must take some of the bull’s blood+ and spatter it with his finger in front of the cover* on the east side, and he will spatter+ some of the blood with his finger seven times before the cover.+

15 “And he must slaughter the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people,+ and he must bring its blood inside the curtain+ and do with its blood+ the same as he did with the bull’s blood; and he must spatter it toward the cover* and before the cover.

16 And he must make atonement for the holy place concerning* the uncleannesses+ of the sons of Israel and concerning their revolts in all their sins;+ and that is the way he should do for the tent of meeting, which is residing with them in the midst of their uncleannesses.

HEBREWS 9 For its part, then, the former [covenant] used to have ordinances of sacred service*+ and [its] mundane* holy place.+ 2 For there was constructed a first tent [compartment]+ in which were the lampstand+ and also the table+ and the display of the loaves;*+ and it is called “the Holy Place.”+ 3 But behind the second curtain+ was the tent [compartment] called “the Most Holy.”*+ 4 This had a golden censer+ and the ark of the covenant+ overlaid all around with gold,+ in which were the golden jar having the manna+ and the rod of Aaron that budded+ and the tablets+ of the covenant;* 5 but up above it were the glorious cherubs+ overshadowing the propitiatory [cover].*+ But now is not the time to speak in detail concerning these things.

6 After these things had been constructed this way, the priests enter the first tent [compartment]+ at all times to perform the sacred services;+ 7 but into the second [compartment] the high priest alone enters once a year,+ not without blood,+ which he offers for himself+ and for the sins of ignorance of the people.+ 8 Thus the holy spirit makes it plain that the way+ into the holy place* had not yet been made manifest while the first tent was standing.+ 9 This very [tent] is an illustration*+ for the appointed time that is now here,+ and in keeping with it both gifts and sacrifices are offered.+ However, these are not able to make the [man] doing sacred service* perfect+ as respects his conscience,+ 10 but have to do only with foods+ and drinks+ and various baptisms.*+ They were legal requirements pertaining to the flesh+ and were imposed until the appointed time to set things straight.*+

11 However, when Christ came as a high priest+ of the good things that have come to pass,* through the greater and more perfect tent not made with hands, that is, not of this creation,+ 12 he entered, no, not with* the blood+ of goats and of young bulls, but with his own blood,+ once for all time into the holy place and obtained* an everlasting deliverance* [for us].+ 13 For if the blood of goats+ and of bulls+ and the ashes+ of a heifer sprinkled on those who have been defiled*+ sanctifies to the extent of cleanness of the flesh,+ 14 how much more will the blood+ of the Christ, who through an everlasting spirit offered+ himself without blemish to God, cleanse+ our consciences from dead works+ that we may render sacred service+ to [the] living God?

15 So that is why he is a mediator+ of a new covenant, in order that, because a death has occurred for [their] release by ransom+ from the transgressions under the former covenant,+ the ones who have been called might receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance.+ 16 For where there is a covenant,*+ the death of the [human] covenanter* needs to be furnished. 17 For a covenant is valid over dead [victims],* since it is not in force at any time while the [human] covenanter is living. 18 Consequently neither was the former [covenant]+ inaugurated* without blood.+ 19 For when every commandment according to the Law had been spoken by Moses to all the people,+ he took the blood of the young bulls and of the goats with water and scarlet wool and hyssop+ and sprinkled the book* itself and all the people, 20 saying: “This is the blood of the covenant that God has laid as a charge upon YOU .”*+ 21 And he sprinkled the tent+ and all the vessels of the public service likewise with the blood.+ 22 Yes, nearly all things are cleansed with blood + according to the Law, and unless blood is poured out + no forgiveness * takes place. +
