I donate food to local food banks. I have also assisted the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Society, and SPANA (Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad). I also give money to the Cadets, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and recently the Sea Cadets. Really, any little kid that comes to my door selling something to support their activity or cause I will give them money.
I always like to buy a Poppy every year at Remembrance Day time but this year I did not see them at all. Of course, unless they are at the grocery store when I go, I have been so freakin' busy that I am not out much shopping these days.
