I'm better informed, that's for sure!

I've become more certain about particular life decisions.

    Well, I've changed a lot.

When I first came here, I was trapped, or to be more accurate, felt trapped by the JW's. I was being manipulated and hounded by neurotic sisters, two of them competing over the prize pig which was me.I was feeling scared, not knowing what to think, not knowing how to free myself.

Now, I am free, once more able to be myself, think what I choose, think for myself.

For all of that, for all the information, for all the friendships and the kindness, thanks to this site, to Simon and Angharad, and all of you!

I don't know if it was this site or not but I've gone from Christian to atheist over 2 years.

There was a picture that one poster put on a thread and it actually made me think. It was 'thank you Jesus' with 3 pictures. Someone finding keys another scoring a goal and the last was a starving child.

OTWO, I have noticed your attitude has changed. Not as uptight or feeling you have to prove yourself right.

    Yes, I've changed quite alot!

I started out as a blowhard know-it-all ready to straighten everybody out and now....

Well, maybe I haven't changed that much at all...!

    But, you have, Minimus....you have!

Your questions aren't nearly as relentlessly inane.

    I had a ZR-1 Corvette and a Z06 Corvette when I joined this site.

    I now have a Ferrari and a Rolls-Royce.

The many Communists here have persuaded me not to buy any more American cars.

I did keep the Porsche 911 which I have had the whole time.

I found this site about 2005 under a different name.

I have been out of the JW's since 83.

When I came here I worked everyday, now I am 60 and retired.

I wasnt supposed to get this old.

Since I first came here, I have read most of Dawkins, some Harris and some Hitchens.

I have seen the country go from the prosperity of Clinton to the bankruptcy of Baby Bush.

Went from having lots of money in my pocket and being able to buy and go wherever I wanted

to the new world order of the Bush family.

I guess the major change is I have gotten old and I wasnt supposed to get old, thats what I was told

since I was a baby and since I was in elementary school and since I was in high school.

Since I have come here, I have lost a lot of loved ones to death. That shouldnt have been happening according

to my upbringing/ brainwashing as a JW.

Even though I have gotten old. I have gotten somewhat better. I play soccer 3 times a week at 60 years

old and I never played soccer before I turned 60. I keep up with the 20, 30, 40 year olds. I havent

encountered any 50 year olds yet.
