  Terry, there is a very good reason no JW came to visit you in jail. The same reason why we have two sets of "love and kindness" existing in JW-Land. Your story tells me you were not a Bethelite, nor did you have a JW sponsor-benefactor, "person of the dirt". Sorry Terry, that sucks brother! What explanation did the congregation provide for not visiting you in jail? Where were the Traveling Brothers or Elders?

  JWs are pounded with constant reminders to take care of the "men of fame", "Bethel Members", the defunct Gilead School Graduates, ect......

  JWs main priority is to bring in more money and keep their focus on Annointed Members the Watchtower has validated. Every other JW is questionable venture, we don't send good meny after bad money!

  37 "Then these righteous ones will reply, 'Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?'

  40 "And the King will say, 'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, [c] you were doing it to me!'

  41 "Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, 'Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. [d] 42 For I was hungry, and you didn't feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn't give me a drink. 43 I was a stranger, and you didn't invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn't give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn't visit me.'

  44 "Then they will reply, 'Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?'

  45 "And he will answer, 'I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.'

  46 "And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life."

  Abstain from blood, if you want to obey God's command to abstain from blood. Otherwise you can even drink blood as much you want, until you will womit from it. I don't understand why many here are so eager to get blood transfusions? Jesus said what gain is it for a man to conquer the wold but loose his soul?

  In addition to all the others that I discovered after the 1975 era and the Ray Franz issues - the very first for me was this:

  They simply inserted the name "Jehovah" all through their bible - and especially through the new tastament - without a shred of scholarly consistent historical evidence that it should be there.

  As a little kid, it was the contradictions and general crazeyness in Genesis, exacerbated by 'explanations' that were loonier than Genesis itself. With that as the foundation for the church's beliefs, I never could bring myself to getting dunked and consequently having to give lip service to believing their latest rubbish.

  No where in the Bible does it say handing out Watchtower and Awake! magazines door to door is the definition of works to ensure eternal life/salvation.

  When I asked my parents "Is God directing the Watchtower?" I received a "No." from my Dad and at exactly the same time a "Yes." from my Mom. The 'holy crap' look that passed between them was priceless.

  How about the Governing Body of JW's that claims to be God's F&DS, his Channel on earth, his Spirit directed Theocratic organization, yet they only come to agreement on doctrinal & organizational matters based on at least a 2/3's majority vote.

  25 years ago it was showing disrespect for the sanctity of life to take a fraction.

  The Elduhs were recently written, and told to persuade older JWs that REFUSING fractions was showing disrespect for the sanctity of life.

  Just think: you are desperate for cash to pay for your spouses cancer treatment. So you go to the local prostitutes and ask them to lend you the money. At least you have not committed fornication.

  You are desperate for fractions to save the life of one of the Gibbering Buddies. "PLEASE donate blood all ye non believers" At least not one Jdub has committed the sin of giving blood.

  Double standards.

  AND dont use the "jews were allowed to sell dead animals they found to gentiles" argument. Christians are NOT under the Jewish Law. (yet this is the clause they use to justify the inconsistent blood policy)

  The fist thing that started me doubting back in the 70s was the supposed fulfilment of Mat 24.14. Studying the figures in the Yearbooks I realised that this was far from the case. And as the majority of the world was not getting a witness, how could Jehovah destroy them without the hope of a resurrection? Even today the figures are no better - Less than 1% of JWs preach in 40 countries that contain over half of the world’s population. And over 90% preach in 45 countries that contain less than a third of the world’s population. (Figures taken from the 2012 Yearbook). And even in those countries where 90% of JWs preach, there are many isolated pockets that never hear their message. And when I pointed this out back then, I was told, “If you’re so worried about it, why don’t you go to China and help?” As if that was the answer.

  Been out since about 89.....heard five years ago about the Blood Fractions, then, U.N. association, hiding Child Sex Abuse.....did more research.....and a whole shit storm was exposed...........
