That's the Bottom Line to Watchtower Theology and the Watchtower has admitted as much. Unfortunately, the average JW is clueless as to his actual position before Jehovah.

The below is written for active JW's. If people understand all this, and they want to remain JW's that's fine with me. I just think JW's need to be enlightened as to what they are really giving up their lives for:

    1. Watchtower Says:

The ...“other sheep”, [non 144,000] are in a different condition. …They are still human

    creatures, not even justified, - Wt. 38 p.104, 105

    · Bible Says:

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:... Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. - Rom. 5:1, 9 (KJV)

    Q. How can I have peace with God and escape wrath without first being justified (declared righteous)?

    2. Watchtower Says:

“he is not yet giving the ‘other sheep’ the standing of sons….

they address him prospectively as ‘Our Father’.” Wt. 8/15/45 p. 253

    · Bible Says:

You are all, in fact, sons of God through ?YOUR? faith in Christ Jesus...For all of ?YOU? who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ...for ?YOU? are all one [person] in union with Christ Jesus. Gal. 3: 26-28 (NWT) (Jew & Gentile or “other sheep”)

    Q. How can the apostles’ doctrine of believers’ sonship be changed without incurring the curse of Galatians 1: 8 which reads: even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to ?YOU? as good news something beyond what we declared to ?YOU? as good news, let him be accursed. - Gal. 1: 8 (NWT)

    3. Watchtower Says:

in a “strict Biblical sense Jesus is the ‘mediator’ only for anointed

    Christians.” [The 144,000] - Wt.4/1/79 p. 31

Christ does not act as Mediator of the new covenant toward them , [the ‘Great Crowd’ or average JW member] yet they benefit from this covenant through the work of God’s Kingdom.” - Wt. 2/15/91 pgs. 15-20 par.11

    · Bible Says

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus - 1 Tim. 2: 5 (NWT)

    Q. If Christ is not your mediator because of rejection of the New Covenant (symbolized by the emblems at the Lord’s Supper); can you supply even one New Testament scripture that explains how to get your sins forgiven while outside of the New Covenant provision?

Remember: The purpose of the New Covenant is for forgiveness of sins and for escaping wrath:

By means of him we have the release by ransom through the blood of that one, yes, the forgiveness of [our] trespasses Eph. 1:7 (NWT)

“This cup means the new covenant by virtue of my blood". 1 Cor. 11: 25 (NWT)

“Drink out of it, all of ?YOU; for this means my ‘blood of the covenant,’ which is to be poured out in behalf of many for forgiveness of sins. Mt. 26:27-28 (NWT)

    Penetration:

    Great White Throne Judgment

While it is true that all men are judged after they die (Heb. 9:27); they are not all judged the same way. The Great White Throne judgment of Rev. 20:11 thru 21:8 is for “all liars” who have not been declared righteous through faith in Jesus ALONE. Faith in Jesus-plus-your-religious-organization, or faith in Jesus- plus-your-works, will nullify God’s offer of pardon because as Peter assured, “there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”. - Acts 4:12 If you have ever told even one lie, it is important that you get this understanding right. You must be justified (declared righteous) before you die to avoid wrath.

Judgment Seat of Christ (The Bema Seat - Romans 14:10 & 2 Cor. 5: 10)

Compare the previous GWT judgment with this one that is reserved for those with faith in Christ Alone:

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. - 1 Cor. 3:15

At this judgment, things that were done FOR CHRIST are rewarded (or not rewarded), as opposed to the GWT judgment where those not found in the Book of Life are punished. Salvation is not the issue here as it is at the Great White Throne. At the judgment seat of Christ (believer’s judgment), even if all your works for God are rejected; you yourself “shall be saved”.

Yes it is shocking. Think about it seriously, and ask yourself this question.

If the elder that went over your pre-baptismal questions with you told you that as a Jehovah's Witness you are not justified before God, Jehovah is not your father, and Jesus is not your Mediator .... would you have agreed to join the Watchtower and get baptized?

I think a great many would see it as not much of an offer and certainly not biblical nor Christian.

    Watchtower says:

You cannot have a clean standing before God imputed as a free gift by unmerited favour (grace) - i.o.w. be sanctified and count amongst fallen sinners described in scripture as the Holy Ones (saints).

    Bible says:

"... you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Cor 6:11, NLT, Bible.cc)

Now Brother Fernando, if you persist in quoting the bible where it conflicts with Watchtower thought, we are going to have to suspend your microphone privledges.

It is very plain in the New World Translation as well:

And yet that is what some of YOU were. But YOU have been washed clean, but YOU have been sanctified, but YOU have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God. 1 Cor. 6:11 - NWT

It's a done deal according to that scripture. Likewise, the New Covenant is what declares them righteous..... the one that they are deceived into rejecting at each Memorial.

“Drink out of it, all of YOU; for this means my ‘blood of the covenant,’ which is to be poured out in behalf of many for forgiveness of sins. Mt. 26:27-28 (NWT)

My Bible study conductor was not even ashamed to tell me that I was not eligible to be called God's son or worthy of calling God my father. Why? because I am imperfect, only God has perfect sons. Until I attain perfection, I will be illigitimate son. Its only the 144000 who have the right to call God their father, aba.. Then I pointed out, does not Jesus said we should pray, 'our father in heaven.....,' why do I call him my father in prayer yet Iam not his son?

    Hi Scott,

Your Bible Book Study conductor was on the right track though he bungles it at the end of his statement. There are no spiritually illigitimate children here on earth. The bible speaks of just TWO legitimate fathers and and just TWO legitimate children of each, the children of the devil and the children of God.

Everyone who has been born from God does not carry on sin, because His [reproductive] seed remains in such one, and he cannot practice sin, because he has been born from God. The children of God and the children of the Devil are evident by this fact: Everyone who does not carry on righteousness does not originate with God - 1 John 3: 9-10 NWT

SO, since all of Man's Righteousness has been rejected by God:

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags - Isaiah 64:6

“There is not a righteous [man], not even one - Roman 3:10 (NWT)

The QUESTION is: What constitutes "carrying on righteousness"? Since works are no good; The only thing that is left is ........ your mind. Jesus answers in John 6: 28-29:

Therefore they said to him: “What shall we do to work the works of God?” In answer Jesus said to them: “This is the work of God, that YOU exercise faith in him whom that One sent forth.”Therefore they said to him: “What, then, are you performing as a sign, in order for us to see [it] and believe you"? - NWT

Fred Franz translates "believe" two different ways here in the SAME PASSAGE to give the impression that one is a process while the other is a decision. Pisteuo is the word in each instance but he translates it differently.

    4100.

pisteuo, pist-yoo'-o; from 4102; to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), i.e. credit; by implication, to entrust (especially one's spiritual well-being to Christ):--believe(-r), commit (to trust), put in trust with

Jesus simply meant that the work of God that causes a person to be declared righteous is to believe him.

“Drink out of it, all of YOU; for this means my ‘blood of the covenant,’ which is to be poured out in behalf of many for forgiveness of sins. - Mt. 26:27-28 (NWT)

So God allows us to participate in the choice of our eternal destiny. If we believe Jesus, we will accept the New Covenant which is for forgiveness of sins and drink the cup as he commanded and avoid needless judgment.

If we believe someone else, we won't do as he asks.

As a side note: When Jesus showed the Jews how to pray the "our Father" prayer, it made sense because the Jews were legitimate sons of God through the legal adoption of them in the Mosaic Covenant.

Gentiles were later "grafted in" to the family of God through the legal adoption of them in the New Covenant. If this Covenant is rejected under the pretense that it is only "for a kingdom" (or for any other reason for that matter), then there is no possibility of adoption and that individual will remain a child of the devil just as he was born. That is why a person must be "born again".

The burden of proof is on the Watchtower to show EVEN ONE SCRIPTURE how a person can have their sins forgiven while outside of the New Covenant.

I personally really like the way God as declared us righteous .... through belief. I didn't ask to be burdened with sin when I was born, I didn't have to do anything.

Likewise, and equally without deeds, I can be viewed as without sin through belief in the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary.

    "It is finished".
