Why I Follow Conspiracy Theories

There have been many conspiracy theories in the world of conspiracy theories that have eventually been shown to be true. It's good to have people parsing through all the current event data, someone has to besides a bias and greedy media. I think people that automatically distrust a theory because it's one of a possible conspiracy actually have an informational phobia. This phobia is a result of a traumatic experience after being serverly lied to with the use of bias information. The human mind avoids shame like it's a plague and finding out you have been lied to creates shame and then anger. The Watchtower is a perfect example as they lie to their members and eventually some of them wake up to the lies. They then have the possibility of developing a phobia of information of a specific type. This could be religious, political or a variety of other categories. They become pathological cynics and desperately work to create a "perfect" information stream to avoid past trauma. Hiding behind ridicule of certain types of information is a symptom of this psychological phenomenon.
