I can see some uncomfortable similarities between the attitudes of the moneyed Republican elite and those of the French aristocracy prior to the French Revolution...

Any historical lessons to be gleaned from that, and from the Russian revolution, seem to have been lost upon the Republicans.

Or post WW I and depression era Germany where the people were willing to believe or do anything to "rescued" from their economic pit of despair.

    Hi Bizzy!

I have a serious personal question: If Obama wins the election, what on earth are you going to have to post about after November?

You can always come over and Wibble with us if you get bored.
