Wow, I am very happy for ya.

I guess you are seeing how this abuse rolls down the family tree. Imagine the power you have to stop this abuse.

I would say your sister is at high risk to become an abuser as well. Might not be a bad idea to let some family secrets out to someone on the BOE that knows your family in the congo if possible. It won't change the way you are treated but with all the lawsuits they might keep an extra eye on any children she might be raising.

Knowing what I know about abuse and the way she took to it and was treated I would not be able but to suspect she will act out at some point her self.

Yes, Lois, my sentiments are similar to 00Dad's. And to add ; friends who understand personal boundaries! Also, what Mamochan13 suggests in seeking professional help in order to overcome your painful life experiences and to assist you on a healthy road of recovery. There's a saying: "Life begins at 60. So, Lois, welcome!

Wow that was a tough story. Your sister has you where she wants you out of her life.........you have her right where you want her......... out of yours.

What those JW fools don't get is that shunning works both ways! However it sounds like getting some professional help would be appropriate.

Welcome and thank you for sharing and for fighting back to reclaim your life.

Lois - Your story is very moving. I'm an incest survivor too, and I agree with the advice you've been given about seeking counseling. I did that and it helped me a great deal. Hugs!

    Lois,

I just read your thread! Whoa...oh my what you have been through. I love the fact you recognized TTATT so quickly from reading C of C. My leaving was about that quick as well. Done and out in a matter of minutes.

I received your PM and responded. I do know the brother of whom you speak. Maybe designs does too...I'll have to ask him.

Take good care. And welcome to the board. I'm not quite around as much as I used to, be but I will search for your comments.
