Well the Bible said "Keep close in mind Jehovah's day" long before a Watchtower was ever printed. Let's make fun of that too, why don't we?

Call it fun if you like . . . but it simply shows that cults haven't changed their style much in 2000 years.

Recovery, as we chant at football matches in the UK after a spectacular goal and the opposing side goes stunned and silent "its all gone quiet over there".

It appears the WTBTS discovered in the early 1950s that text in the Holy Scriptures and recycled it ever since.

2 Peter3:11,12 "Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought YOU to be in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion, 12 awaiting and keeping close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah."

"keeping close in mind" is a mistranslation of the greek word 'speudo' which means to urge, speed, hasten or await eagerly. No other Bible translates it that way.

According to this verse we should be wishing this day to come faster instead of merely thinking about it. I wonder if that will be reflected in the public talk.
