How many JW pedofiles do you personally know?

Multipule elders who were removed for reasons other than "being a pedophile" officially they can never be reappointed to MS or Elder again. It was cute to read the letters these brother would send the Society asking for their position again to be reinstated. The official reason for their demotion is disconcerting to their humble congregations. Sister Pious "I notice you don't serve as an elder anymore, how come?" Brother Pedophile laments "A wimp-saboteur has slandered my good name, and I am too humble to challenge their accusations." Sister Pious, "Oh you truly are a good man, why would anyone speak such a nasty lie about you?" brother Chester, "It's Satan the Devil and, anyway's it's so close to the End, why should I even care?"

7 total. 4 convicted pedos(1elder. 3 publishers). 2 was concealed by elders(2 publishers). And a JW woman who molested her own granddaughter. I read the letter that was wrote by the granddaughter to my friend. It was sad and shocking!

Out of all 7, only 2 got disfellowshipped and 1(an elder who raped all his 5 daughters and has been in the prison since mid 90's) was reinstated.

My own was victimized by one of these pedophiles.

Fleaman uk, that's over 3 percent counting publishers of 225 from 2 congregations. You got to remember too that these 7 are not the total numbers but the ones that I only personally know of. So, where's your claim of "23% are made up" come from?

Oh, another thing, I only knew 1, an elder pedophile who raped all his daughter, for all those time while attending the same congregation for 18 years. I learned about the other 6 only after my own was victimized. That really opened my eyes. I personally verifed and spoke with either victims or family of victims in all 7 cases. Fleaman, I am glad this hasn't happened to your family.

My superintendent was a pedophile. He served on the NYC Police Department. For some unknown reason, he took pornographic photos of his young daughter to the precinct to brag about it. Next, he was out on the sidewalk, fired, no benefits. Because of a technicality, he was not convicted but he was on a sex crimes registry. He regretted what he did.Sadly, he was the sole caretaker of a very young child whose mother was a street prostitute.

Not everyone is all bad, however. He adored playing cop. The local cops had utter contempt for him which no one could figure out at the time. We needed someone playing cop in our neighborhood. A tenant was saved from certain rape. Time and time again, his actions towards drug dealers and prostitutes bettered the neighborhood.

One day I woke up and my mom told me NOT to watch TV under any circumstances so immediately did so. When she returned, she told me that the super was murdered by repeated stab from the molested daughter's boyfriend. They could not scrub up all the blood in front of the bldg. I attended part of the murder trial.

I assume I know other pedophiles. Most men have enough sense to hide it so how would I know.

My mom babysat with his toddler. The city social services intervened. When she was two, she emphatically told you not to touch her if it displeased her in any manner. I was reprimanded for brushing across her skin. It was amazing that someone so young could be so insistent.

I knew of one JW who got away with it.

Google 'registered sex offenders' with your zip also a few other small cities to compare. The ratio is one per 400 people here in Western Virginia. Smaller towns have a better ratio or worse in one nearby town that was 1 per 89 people.

I also noted that these offenders are completely outed. Their house is on a map, their address, crime details, photograph, personnel details, weight, height etc. I would recommend lurking JW's Google your area and see if you recognize anyone from your hall. Of course these are just the registered ones there's still a lot who have not been caught yet .............thank your elders and the WTBTS for that.

I know of one personally and he is in good standing with his congo. He was finally df'd after 20 years of my persisting my campaign against him. My sister and her stepmother (the pedo's current wife) finally came forward to back my story. He was reinstated after 2 years. Don't think anyone in his congo knows.

As for statistics on sex offenders--proceed with caution. A large portion of people on the sex offender registery probably should not be on there. Public urination, "Romeo & Juliet" romances, and other "victimless" crimes can cause someone to be placed on the list. If you research the Dept of Justice statistics you will find that sex offenders have one of the lowest recidivism rates for crimes. Most professionals who have to deal with the registry say it is an ineffective tool because the real abusers are obscured by the sheer volume of people on the list (most of their crimes not related to abusing a child). Sexual offense has become a tool for politicians to gain or keep office.

I am not siding with pedofiles, but I also happen to personally know some men who were wrongly convicted of sexual crimes and they are on the list--they cannot find jobs, fear for not only their life, but the lives of family living with them. If you do some in-depth research on the matter, it should scare everyone in the US how easy it is to get charged/convicted of being a sex offender on the unsubstantiated word of anyone. There does not have to be physical evidence to get a conviction. It is considered an "atomic" weapon for women seeking to get a divorce (and revenge at the same time). When a person is charged with a sex offense, it is guilty until proven innocent.

As a victim of a sexual predator I used to think the registry was a good thing, but doing some research has made me change my mind. I also do not agree with the court's stance that a person can be convicted without evidence of any kind and solely on the word of a child. Some troubled children do lie unfortunately...well anyway, I will get off my soapbox.

There are always some innocent people behind the bar in all crimes.

Did you know that according to the study (in the US, I believe it was done by the government agency. I was told by the social worker at DCFS. I had been counseld by her for about 2 years) that only 20 some percent of the sexual crime victims eventually report the crime? And only 4% of the reported crimes will have their day in court. I was told prosecuting and convicting sexual criminals are the hardest case in the criminal justice. The pedophile who molested mine was never even arrested. Although there were total 3 victims of his that we know of. The Body of elders destroyed the evidence of his crimes and at the end we, victim and victims family, got punished instead.

(I may have to contact the social worker in the coming week for the copy of the study if anyone would like to confirm the information)

One only, and this only came out in the open several years after I had parted company with the JWs:

    - I only discovered that my former close friend was a pedofile when I read of his court case in the local newspaper (he received a prison sentence of six years). It also came out in the same court case that he had had a previous conviction for a similar offence some twenty years beforehand, while he was a JW of good standing; and which I never knew about.

Scary thought - when you consider that he had four daughters of his own. The only consolation in the whole sorry business is that he never laid a finger on any of my daughters!

    Biil.
