A "thought-terminating cliche" to be exact. Used when you find yourself absolutely bored out of your skull listening to a bethel speaker at the special ASSembly day - "what a fine interchange of encouragement" "oh yes, it really was, wasn't it, sure. . . "

What will be happening is the refugees/survivors from the branch closures will be insecure, worried about jockying for position in the Mexico branch, missing their families & friends they've had to leave 100's of miles away yet clinging on to a shred of relief that they haven't been made redundant aka 'sent in to the field'. The existing Mexico 'family' will be anxious to ensure these new upstarts know their place and are suitably grateful for the 'loving kindness' extended to them.
If the end is close why are they downsizing? If the business world is to be destroyed and the world in chaos as God destroys the wicked how do the GB plan to communicate with all these disparate countries and where are the borthers to go in the short term with all the branch offices gone and internet down? Their actions do not fit their words since merger means saving money and liquidating assets and withdrawal.
Post Armageddon surely the buildings would have more value to the brothers than money which will be worthless.
I can only conclude that the society does not believe in armageddon only the bottom line.

This is major,,their own admission,,they are proceeding, without God's direction on this. What else have they proceeded and made decisions without God's direction???? Hope this stirs some brain cells of some JWs.
Some JWs would say that some details the GB make decisions without god's direction,,but this is their Headquarters,,they are selling big properties majorly,, they are really in a 'helter-skelter' mode,,I detect they are frantic. They are not certain where they are going!

See the GB can have their 'Plan B,' in case the end is not so "soon" afterall. They have 4+ year projects all the time.
All of the members though can not have a Plan B, don't get married (unless you have certain 'urges,') don't have children, wait to New World, don't go to 4 yr college, don't build your own business/career too much,,instead just eke by.
Because the end is really so close now?
The GB "works" indicate they in fact consider the "end" to not be so close afterall. Their actions speak louder than their words.
