Drinking and prescription medicines are available to brothers and sisters who want to use them. Some of the biggest drunks I know, are those in positions of authority, men and women starting on their second 1/5th by 2 pm. Did anyone have a flask they took out in Field Service?
Our young ones, are being lead astray by morons who drink, spout off Bible verses to quelch their college desires or push marriage upon 18 year old boys and girls.
Better to stop giving a shit what others think and get on with real life amounst real people .

You speak for yourself no doubt, a matey ? No one here will judge you for how you lead your life. I'll admit to the increased reading and draw a veil over the rest. I will admit to cussing and swearing like never before. Maybe you should add that to your list, it is "Soooo Worldly" !

I got sick of broken promises, lies, and abuse within the witless religion. Which is typical of what angels do--they trick you into thinking they are benevolent and that the demons are going to possess and attack. Then the angels attack, blame the demons, and scare you right back to the LIE-ble, Jehovah, and Jesus. People that don't know the scam often go right back.
As for heaven, what is the point of going? Given that you can believe a word in the LIE-ble (and that is a generous assumption), heaven is so bright that you wouldn't be able to see anything. Ever been in severe glare and saw how difficult it is to see? It is infinitely worse in heaven--everything is so white you can't see anything. Even something that is jet black appears glaring white in those conditions. At least in hell, if you can believe the LIE-ble, it is pitch dark--a little light will enable you to see.
And what are you going to do in heaven, play that damn harp all day, or serve some almighty tyrant that will make things so miserable that you would have been better off in hell? (Or Gehenna) At least in hell, I would get to actually know the demons that I myself once blasphemed (while I was a witless). And find out that they are nothing like what Christi-SCAM-ity made them out to be.

Unfortunately, some ex-JWs left the religion for the reason you mentioned but I believe the MAJORITY did not. And I include myself in this number. Most people left the religion because they found out the falseness of it and how deceived they were. They also saw all the abuse and they wondered just how it got so bad. I know I certainly did not sign on for all this abuse. I was told the religion had "no clergy class" and I took them at their word. Nobody there got any special respect from me. I didn't care what anybody there thought about themselves!
Your argument is what current JWs like to believe. They love hearing this and WANT to believe that people leave the religion because they want to rebel and sow their wild oats. Well, what about those who already sowed their wild oats before they came into the religion and were very devout and strict with their own behavior?? They pummelled their body and led it as a slave and not the other way around.
These people didn't leave the religion because they wanted to "sin". No, they left because the JW religion was not what it was cracked up to be and they weren't having any of their crap anymore.
