When you really think about it, the WTS. indoctrinates people to be the organization's own sales Representatives.

'JW's ARE NOT REPRESENTATING THE ORGANISATION WHEN THEY ARE IN THEIR PERSONAL MINISTRY'

What does that mean in reality..? Just another 'cop out' of any liability clause.

Exactly Midwich, the Borg tells you how much time you should spend peddaling their books & magazines.

The Borg makes you feel guilty if you do not spend as much time as they think you should in your 'PERSONAL MINISTRY'.

The Borg tells you how you should have your hair, that you shouldn't have facial hair, what clothes you should wear how you should speak & what you should say in your 'PERSONAL MINISTRY'.

And then tells the dubs 'YOU DO NOT REPRESENT US IN YOUR PERSONAL MINISTRY'

Anything goes wrong when you are in your 'PERSONAL MINISTRY' peddaling their books & you are on your own!!

No $$$$ to waste on you I'm afraid.

Yes but don't forget 'JW's ARE NOT REPRESENTING THE ORGANIZATION WHEN THEY ARE IN THEIR PERSONAL MINISTRY' according to the borg.

You as individuals are expendable in the 'Organization's' quest for survival.

    Good points Heartofaboy

The amount of manipulation and exploitation is astounding, even to people who've never been JWS.

If JWs weren't representing the WTS. they wouldn't have any of the WTS's publications, they would most likely

be using their own bible and they wouldn't be teaching the WTS. doctrines which essentially are commercialized doctrines to

attract attention to the organization's literature. Lies and corruption

Pick up any Watchtower or Awake magazine and there's plethora of designed propaganda that Jehovah is the controlling factor in their organization

and not men's own personal endeavors running a published house and trying to sustain this publishing house .

Most people with a sound sense of skepticism and intelligence would be able to look through the lines of these articles and be able to see that.

There's a deviously proposed trap being set and thats most likely why the WTS. has grown so little after preaching door to door for over a century

and perhaps also why they lose so many that they do lure in. Side line that with the constant mentioning of Armageddon to occur, putting them in a

constant state of coercive fright and you can see why most JWS remain, they're being scared silly, removing most if not all inquisitiveness

that they are being manipulated and exploited.

They are intensionally and purposely being brainwashed to be subservient slaves of the Watchtower Publishing Kingdom.

If you are in "personal ministry" does not not release you from any continuing obligation to and invovlement with the organization? Why count hours and turn them in? if it's just you as a person? Gack.

I wanted to add that the tactics used by witnesses are very similar to sales tactics you might learn in a workplace. For example:

Don't just push a product. You have to make the person feel that they NEED the product by asking them questions directed to get them to admit that something you are promoting is something they are missing, and then mention your product. (Probing questions at the doors)

Obtain leads, then work the leads. (Return visit equals lead.)

Use fear tactics to make the person feel that if he does not buy what you are selling, there could be negative consequences to himself and his family (i.e. Insurance products)

Don't present yourself as a salesman, but rather as someone who wants to help. Offer some service, also build rapport by chatting about common interests, before starting in on your pitch.

Don't explain the full committment (fees, lenght of contract, negative factors) until the person is already biting.
