There is absolutely no benefit in meeting with them, and quite a bit of risk. Just tell him you are really cheerful already and don't see a need to meet. Cut him short after that, as them more you let him question you the more chance there is you will incriminate yourself.

Almost a full year after I quite attending meetings at once two elders showed up at my door unanounced. They rang the bell and when I saw who it was, I stepped outside to prevent them from entering my home. We spoke on the doorstep and when they asked what they could do to have me return to the meetings I simply replied that I know where the KHall is and that I have both of their phone numbers. I told them that I needed to be left alone...since then no calls, no visits. Of course I avoid any contacts with the JWs even when my active wife receives invitations on my behalf...The less you will have to do with them the best it will be for you.

Thanks for your advice! So basicly what you are saying is, be polite, short and clear, and ignore. I decided to txt him, saying thanks for their kind offer( which I CAN refuse), that I'm extremely busy at the moment and did'nt have the need/wish for a visit now, but I could assure him that I would contact him if I needed help in the future (as in never ever!). So, done! I will not pick up phone if he calls again, and will not answer txt's, and will not let them in if they show up.......Hav'nt heard from him yet. Hopefully this is it.

So, 00dad; I've been polite and firm, and will ignore further approaches from them. They now know I will be the one contacting them if in need.

New chapter; Good for you! They've faded out on you, hope they fade out on me too.

Doc; Yes, I was pretty close to e-mail some links, and ref on books to my daughter, but fortunately I did'nt! I calmed my self. I encouraged her to do research on her believes, that she owed it to her self, her family and future kids because of the great impact on every aspect on life. I told her I would be happy to help her with matrial, but that SHE should ask for it, that I did'nt want to put pressure on her. So luckily nothing incriminating put down on "paper"! Small steps.

Jwfacts; Thats why I dont want to call him but txt. Its easier to be cut and clear that way I think. I would probably incriminate my self!

NVR; Great for you! Reject in a nice way...way to go!

Gosh, I really feel cheerd up! Thank you for shepperding so well!

Tell them youre a little bit stumbled by the society joining the UN and you want to keep yourself Spiritually clean so whilst wanting to be loyal you are waiting to see if the organisation repents for its sin.

That way they cant accuse you of an apostate teaching, chances are, if they are like the One Min serve who bothered with me in 15 years, they wont actually even know about this, will therefore have to research it, and you might be helping them.

Allthough my Min serve friend refused to belive it and refused to even make enquiries to see if it was true, talk about deliberatly blinding yourself.

Nambo; Yes, would've been interesting to see their reaction to the UN-fornication. Completely deniel I guess as your experience with your stalker. 15 years!!!!!Gosh, I hope "my" elders are'nt that patient with me!

Actually the elder phoned me again this evening. I did'nt answer the phone, so he left a message. Seems I've txt his wifes mobile! He phoned me from his home-number so I had to look him up on yellow pages for his mobile. Apparently his wifes mobile-nr. stands in her husbands name. Submissive one.... So that will probably give her sometihing to gossip about. He gave me his mobile-number and just said we should try to find another day for a visit then.... Will never happen!

My uncle always tried to have a shephard call meeting with me along with other elders. I always dance around the question when can we meet. I just act like I was busy and show up to the meetings when I feel like it. Just act like you have a busy life and just say well I won't be here tomorrow I have class and work. There is nothing they can do. They cannot disfellowship you for it.

Wow! This thread disappeared but is now back again. How come? Did I use a forbidden word or something? Hmmmm.

Doc: Good point, but how about wikipedia? Is it considered apostate by JW? I never heard that. Its on wikipedia with ref to the article in The Guardian which made the GB move quick. I by "accident" fell upon the story on wikipedia and decided to find that article and do some research, and then by "accident" found all the documents on the net. If someone really dont accept the facts, well then there is very little hope I guess...

Good news is, no elders in sight, at least for now.

Here's a link to the Guardian article that broke the story. It was written by Stephen Bates, religious affairs correspondent, Sunday 14 October 2001

'Hypocrite' Jehovah's Witnesses abandon secret link with UN

No one could validly claim that this newspaper is an "apostate website." However, the article does observe, "Those bringing the evidence to light were accused of apostacy." Hmmmm, interesting! How is speaking the Truth apostasy? And if there was nothing "wrong" with the WT being an NGO, why did the WT "hurriedly" seek to sever this association when the facts came to light?
