My interest in the life sciences was mostly in successful procreation, no theory, just practise, so here is my thought:

Men are a step ahead in evolution, that is a random CHANGE in attributes, genes, chromosomes, however caused, that cosmic ray for example, because:

is it not a fact that females are born with all their ova formed? so is not their inherited genetic material more or less fixed from their own conception. although also prone to some random mutation? whereas

The sperm of a male is formed on demand, more or less, sometimes several times a day? Would not such frequent cell-splitting, replication favor the appearance of a strange new condition, like breaking away from a common anscestor?

so, the first chicken, human whatever, was (in) a male, not an ( unferilizes) ovum, egg?
