Forrest City man loses record for largemouth bass after charge for having no fishing license

FORREST CITY, Ark. (AP) — A Forrest City man has lost his claim to the state record largemouth bass after wildlife officers say he didn't have a valid fishing license when he hooked the lunker.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission said Friday that records showed Paul Crowder bought a fishing license on Feb. 28, three hours after he caught the 16 pound, 5 ounce fish on Lake Dunn near Wynne.

For heavens sake he got it! What's happening to our country? Land of the free?

I don't get it. The requirement to have a fishing license isn't new. So, was the gripe?

No fishing licence...your fish does not exist...no marriage licence...your relationship does not exist...and don't think that it does...we can't see it.

They took his fish. That's what Mike Huckabee reported. That's cold!

So, was the gripe?

If a human being catches a fish in a state that beats the old record the old record is beat. The government has erased history! Maybe I am a minority on this, but I think it's utter stupidity on the governments part. He is facing 30 days in jail and has a court date, for petes sake!

Go figure...getting food is a crime...I wonder if Jesus had a licence to distribute fish...bloody dealers!!
