At one time I felt my JW famliy members hated me

because I turn my back on the cult.

Today I feel sorry for them and it,s not hate they

    feel.

They way I see it, first of all it,s frustrating serving A

God that you can never please, serving A God that

change his mind every few months. A God that allow

abuses to take place, mentally and physically. The

mentally abuse is the most devastating of all because

it goes aganist human nature (shunning).

You have heard it said"You can close your eyes to the

things you do not want to see, but you cannot close your

heart to things you do not want to feel".

Yes, I do feel sorry for them. I remember how miserable I was and how I felt like *I* was defective. I know several in my former hall who have to take antidepressants to function, and I think that the religion makes depressive tendencies worse.

Yes, miserable also. The same as A woman in A

abusive relationship and she stays. You feel

for her and hope she will come to her senses,

wake up. So for those still in, all we can do is hope

they will wake up come to their senses.

Most definitely. Many are signing and groaning over the detestable things being done in God's name...and yet think, "Where else can we go?" They are skinned and thrown about like a sheep without a shepard.

    I worry about them.

I am amazed that they are willing to be fooled.

I am sorry for them that they believe the world is a bad place.

I am concerned that they believe we are bad people because we don't believe them.

The ones I know seem to be happy enough. I believe they are doing the best they can with what they know, like all of us are. My family in particular is very happy in the box they live in and I'm happy outside the box. I don't feel sorry for them. I think they made their choice and so have I and that is that.

Not in the slightest possible way. In fact, anyone who is a jw in this day and age, and who has any measure of commonsense and yet remains a jw, fully deserves every associated 'blessing' which accompanies such belonging.

    Cheeses. Pitiful but not pitying.

    Some of them, yes.

Others, like many of my family, deserve what they chose.
