With reference to the Harvey family in NZ. Are you talking about Tom and Faith Harvey originally from Foxton? The Greens were there also. If that is who you are enquiring about I can tell you that all but one of the boys have remained in the religion. Faith is now living in Tauranga with one of the girls. Tom died in 1999 of a heart attack while out in the service.
Of the boys, the youngest (me), was disfellowshipped after disassociation in 2000. Since then I have been able to clearly see the control mechanics of the Society. It is amazing how some will defend the Society without even giving a second thought to the possibility that they may be misguided. I spoke to a CO a few weeks ago about the UN association and he simply swept it away by saying "It's not true". Like that s going to convince me? Its part of the public record! How can you deny it? Perhaps it just shows the same level of cognitive dissonance that the Society uses on all of its followers?
