If obesity were to really be a DF offense, you'd could DF JWs by the dozens at any Golden Corral after a Sunday meeting.
Oh......my......God.....you ain't seen nothing until you've seen a JW scarf down 3 or 4 plates as tall as they are wide, filled with ribs, mac-n-cheese, fried chicken, chocolate pudding, cornbread, etc. etc. etc.
To be fair, JWs have no monopoly on gluttony at buffet-style restaurants.
But they sure as heck don't set an example in healthful eating!

Favoritism is a function of the Gatekeeper mentality.
Somebody (the G.B.) holds the power and therefore can decide arbitrarily who wins and who loses.
Prince, Michael Jackson, Mickey Spillane were all way outside the normal boundries of decent behavior required of the rank and file JW's at the local Kingdom Halls. However, the "celebrity" status made the gatekeepers maintain a "hand's off" policy as regards disfellowshipping.
Nothing illustrates the myth of Jehovah's Spirit guiding the Organization better than this blatant Favoritism.
