Please allow this gentleman to explain.

For those that can't get youtube or don't want the volume to disturb others, what's the deal?

PSacramento: If you've heard one Fundamentalist preacher, you've heard them all. This particular preacher is Muslim. However, the message might as well be what I heard in Southern Baptist churches as a child.

He argues that a person's actions are only truly 'good' if it they are done for Allah. Therefore, anyone who does not subscribe to Islam can never be truly 'good'. If they are not 'good', then they must be 'evil', because Allah gave them life and yet they "invent their own way of worship" and will go to hell.

He then indulges in some sick fantasies of what hell will be like for these people.

    It's all very nice.

Edit: LWT is right, it's just a different flavor of the same fundamentalism.

    Typical.

One of the reasons that, to me, the doctrine of Grace makes sense is because if we do things with an ulterior motive ( to earn salvation by pleasing God) then the intent is NOT to please God but to get rewards.

God must be some type of sucker if he gets BS'd like that.

When we are good for "goodness sake",good out of love not because we have to be but because our love compells us to be, not motivated by rewards because we have already been given the greatest reward, only then are our intentions noble and pure, ie: worthy of God.

I can see far more good non-believers going to Heaven and far more "pretencious believers" going to "hell".

Pride, THE sin that caused the fall and continues to do so.

In many ways Christ was right when he said that "only God is Good".

Too many people pretend to be good with their overt acts of goodness and righteousness when deep down their motives are impore, dark and rather disturbing.

God sees into the hearts of Us all and ONLY God can judge because HE sees ALL.

Oh well - I'm bound to go to hell, I think Allah and Jesus are both myths.

    hmmm, sounds a lot like:

The WTS says that a person's actions are only truly 'good' if it they are done for Jehovah. Therefore, anyone who does not subscribe to the "Truth" about Jehovah's Kingdom can never be truly 'good'. If they not 'good', then they must be 'evil', because Jehovah gave them life and yet they "invent their own way of worship" and will be destroyed at Armageddon.

Pretty short step from there to where the Muslim fundamentalists are now - why wait for Armageddon? We can start killing them now...

The bible says that there is none.

Romans 3:10 As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.

All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."

    Peace
