I have to be honest here. Despite the half-mast Union Jacks, the nation is definitely NOT in mourning. Princess Maggie had not been particularly well liked for decades owing to her penchant for alternating between being good pals and then wanting to wear her "Royal hat" as the mood took her.
The funeral is on Friday at Windsor Castle, it will be a private affair and not a State shindig a la Princess Di.
