Scientists already admit there was a 'first cause" prior to the big bang, you cannot say it absolutely was NOT God. Science does not disprove God so people need to stop trying to force it to do that.
I will admit you cannot prove that people have personally experienced God UNLESS you are willing to objectively look at just HOW people's lives are dramatically changed, sometimes literally overnight. Clearly SOMETHING moved them to make these changes. They are all saying the change in their lives is God. You ask for proof they are telling the truth, what is YOUR proof they are not?
Perry I agree with wobble, you are helping a lot of people. Many come out of the WT and get on this forum and others like it and at a time when their faith is weak, they read posts against God and then do not know what is true and what is not. Many have completely lost their faith by listening to unbelievers and not doing the research themselves. I love how you always show there is another side to the story. Peace to you, Lilly

An unimpressive, unsaved, malcontented bible critic named CT Russell hauled off some of my first ancestor immigrants to hell. He felt that all the other believers were sooooooooo ignorant. It is tempting to imagine everyone else but you as ignorant instead of believeing the author of everything and getting it right.
Darwin was his predecessor. He was an unimpressive, unsaved, malcontented bible student..... from a Unitarian family. In other words he was raised as a heretic. What is interesting is that, now that his Origin of Species has been found to be utterly insufficient in describing the origin of anything, that the theory is still being kicked around by those addicted to feeling superior to all the"ignorant" skeptics - just as we were trained to do as Jehovah's Witnesses.
More "intellignent" theorists are now simply saying that evidence is no longer need. It all appeared from nothing! The ex JW atheist apostles on this board are really falling behind their new chariot.
EVERYTHING FROM NOTHING. That is the new untouchable, lofty, lobotomizing mantra of the self-impressed unsaved. A claim so out of touch with reality, that it draws nothing but blank stares.
God has given man a sixth sense. It is called common sense. Everyone has it, whether saved or not. Using it is a choice though.

Isn't it time for Perry to face the music of science? Darwin did a great job, but could have come up short. That doesn't mean that we didn't evolve. He lived in a time before all the data available today. So, move forward and learn what science knows about evolution today.

For cryin' out loud! The Universe contains within forces and quantities that can stagger even the most exuberant imagination. I'm not saying it does not have a creator. Let's assume it was created by a tremedously intelligent and powerful entity. My question is, again: was this creature not able to come with something more precise, documented, plausible, pertinent, intelligent piece of literature than the Bible??? This God of yours, Perry, looks like a cow who gives a bucket of milk and when it's full it empties it's bladder in it.
