Issuing a challenge to Jehvoah's Witnesses everywhere

  Now is the Time (to quote an old Kingdom Song)....

  to challenge JW's everywhere who are pointing to the "difficult times hard to deal with" in the news around the world

  and declaring Armageddon is absolutely, positively nigh.

  For one thing, they always point to something somewhere, don't they?

  And whatever it is---absolutely MEANS TIME IS SHORT.

  But, it is the usual nonsense, bullshit, poppycock over-statement, exaggeration and hype.

  CALL THEM ON IT THIS TIME!

  Pin them down to a definite statement of what will and won't happen.

  Then, issue the following challenge:

  "If what you are preaching and believing this time doesn't lead to anything again are you willing to admit you are commiting FALSE PROPHECY?"

  Either we ARE or we are NOT living in the End Times.

  Either what is now going on around the world is leading to Apocalypse or it is just ORDINARY cycles of nature and human interaction like it has

  always been in the past.

  Back in the PRE 1975 preaching work they were as close to certain as anybody ever has been and they were DEAD WRONG.

  Not enough people called "bullshit" and held their feet to the fire.

  Let us not make the same mistake again.

  Famine 1975? Ha ha ha ha ha.

  Earthquakes in one place after another? Yeah--so what? Always was and always will be.

  Overpopulation? Yep, would be starvation and no living space by 1975.

  That was 37 frickin' years ago!!

  Why did we let them get away with it back then?

  Act now--make them commit to definite predictions and not vague mushy gloom and doom.

  Then, rub their noses in it!!

  Crying Wolf is not Christianity's purpose.

  Jehovah warned us that some of the wicked would deny our message at the end of times. Like Peter and his brothers, we must become fishermen, and wait on Jehovah; in due time, He will provide us with a red herring that will theocratically protect us from opposers like Terry.

  We have let them have it BOTH ways for far too long.

  Christianity cannot be about the destruction of mankind any more than being a doctor is about killing patients.

  Man is ill and needs repair; healing. Killing your patients is a dysfunctional admission of failure for a physician.

  FIRST OF ALL: DO NO HARM is the Hippocratic Oath.

  JW's wield a threat and it is only the magnitude of that threat that keeps them scared and loyal and active.

  Jesus was about repair and healing. The eventual church made Him into something threatening and apocalyptic.

  JW's need to own up to the emptiness of their message.

  It is imprecise and therefore false.

  An airline would not stay in business over 2000 years if no plane ever arrived or took off, would it?

  JW's have been selling tickets since the late 1800's without a single flight on the runway!!!

  Time to call them on it!!

  Polite confrontational ultimatums. That is what is needed.

  "Are you saying something DEFINITE here or just stoking rumors? Every denomination of Christianity keeps saying basically the same thing

  you are saying about world events. How is YOUR MESSAGE any different from theirs?"

  "Will things get better and go back to some "normal" or will it only get worse and worse?"

  How long before they are willing to put down a CUT OFF DATE?

  Without a definite cut off they are simply saying the same thing over and over as they've always done PRETENDING it is different and MORE URGENT.

  What will JWs do, if the some governments turns on religion (and Jws like in Russia) and then what happens next? Nothing, absolutely nothing. No band of angels on white horses riding to rescue the JWs from an imagined endtimes apocalypse. They might hunker down in their KH's for a week before reality hits them- it's all a bunch of ancient folklore and we bought into it the WT version, with no proof.

  Terry, this time we are ready. Make them sign in writing,

  why, when, and what scripture do you base this.

  Then after ten years show them how they lied once again

  in their own words.

  Hello there Moshe,

  I was told that when the governments start to turn on the JW's

  that would be like sticking a finger in Jehovah's eye and the end would come

  that same sister said that the book study in the individual homes were set

  inplace specifically for when the government turn on JW's. Someone in Brooklyn

  obviously don't believe the hype, because we know what happened to the book study

  in private homes
